Government plans to develop China's culture industry will spur growth in the economy through the production of cultural symbols to enhance product promotion

In the 1980s when the term "culture industry" was invented, it referred to only public entertainment. The culture market comprised of only entertainment venues such as KTV lounges and nightclubs. However, since China began market-oriented reforms, the concept of the China's culture industry gradually evolved from public entertainment to broader forms of creative expression.
