River Turns White in Wenzhou

Chemicals that leaked from a nearby factory contaminated a river in the southeastern entrepreneurial hub of Wenzhou on July 9. The river in Ouhai district of Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province turned white for a stretch of nearly 2 kilometers. The head of the local Ministry of Environmental Protection said the leak was traced to a latex company's production facilities.
