The Chengguan's Parent-Child Relationship

In the narratives of kinship that animate the right of governance in China, urban management bureaus should be guided by a central government authority

The seventh annual National Urban Administration Meeting was held in Beijing in late October. City urban management bureaus, known as chengguan, from 44 cities attended the meeting and passed what was termed the "Beijing Consensus," which calls for the quick establishment of an official system with a corresponding central government department to report to, as well as the introduction of related laws or regulations to guide and standardize the entire country's urban management.
