Caixin Media and Asia Television Announce Strategic Partnership

Caixin Media Company Limited (Caixin) has partnered with Asia Television Limited (ATV) to deliver a series of in-depth business and financial news programs for ATV Home and ATV World.

Starting January 2012, nine original daily programs produced by Caixin, China’s top independent media outfit, will air on ATV World, offering intelligent, incisive views and an insider perspective on China’s fast-changing economic landscape.

Hailed by The Economist as “one of China’s more outspoken media organizations,” and by the New York Times as “an intrepid Chinese magazine well-known for unusually bold investigations,” Caixin is recognized for fearless investigative journalism as well as in-depth coverage of business and finance in China. According to its internationally acclaimed Editor-in-Chief Hu Shuli, Caixin represents an “independent, impartial and critical voice that is not afraid to tackle controversial issues and deliver objective, professional reporting and analysis to its audiences.”

ATV is known as one of the most influential TV stations in Asia. Currently, it broadcasts to an audience of nearly 100 million in Hong Kong, Macau, the Guangdong Pearl River Delta region, and North America.

This partnership with ATV is Caixin’s first step into international broadcast media, following Caixin’s continued efforts to deliver more independent China news and commentary to global audiences.
